7. In the aged people semantic memory appears to be more active whereas the episodic memory appears to decline in the ages people. The semantic memory relates the general facts like memorizing the rules of game, daily activities, the general rules of our society, norms of a festival or religious activities, the general activities like menu of lunch, how car starts, the name of a place and so on. On the other hand, episodic memory helps one to remember the long term memory like personal events, the important matters in life and so on. In the old age the individual can not clearly remember these declarative memories.
