A. The setting is the hospital & the target population is the number of critical ill patient.
- in precede we should look after the predisposing factor of critical ill patient in hospital. if the patient undergone death then the cause of death is it because disease hospital acquired infection disease. identify the problems and set it on the basis of priority and set goal to achieve. analyse the factors responsible for critical ill and verify them. analyse the documentation part for any mistake from health care provider. set the activity according to the priority need and implement them.
- in procede it related to policy or rules and regulation. whatever intervention planned for patient that should be implemented. after implementation the goal is achieved or not and what will be the outcome. for ex- in critical ill patient doing of intubation and its implication and the survival rate of client.
B.
- usually critically ill patient are found in intesive care unit of hospital. so to increase the survival rate in ICU need to plan for quality of care. we should limit the visit our in hospital to limit infection, we should practice hygiene properly to prevent infection. every procedure should done with sterile technique. catheter associated urinary tract infection, surgical site infection, ventilator associated pneumonea etc should checked regularly to found the rate of infection and cause of infection.
