10. A student heats 100 mL of water to 76 °C. The temperature of the surrounding was a constant 26 °C. The water-cooled to 34 °C after a time interval of 25 minutes. Find the time required for the water to cool from 34 °C to 24 °C. Hint: Lab environment Experiment #2

Answers

Hi,

Hope you are doing well.

Given that,

Initial temperature of water, Ti = 76°C

Final temperature of water, T, = 34

Temperature of surroundings, T. = 26C

Time interval, t=25 min

Applying Newton's law of cooling:

T =7; – k (T + F – z)

76 - 34 76 +34 -- 26 25 min =K

42 = 29K

42 ..K= 725

Again,Given that,

Initial temperature of water, Ti = 34°C

Final temperature of water, T = 24°C

Applying Newton's law of cooling:

T =7; – k (T + F – z)

- - ( 2 - 26)

10 42 t=725 X 3

10 x 725 ...t= 42 x 3 min

iit= 57.54 min
