Do you feel there are certain kinds of emotions an ethical speaker should not appeal to? Why or why not?

What is a few good ways to establish credibility with an audience when using emotional appeals in a presentation?

Answers

An ethical speaker must always be empathetic, but no sympathetic- based upon modern philosophers. This factor can prevent them from appealing to intense emotions which can help them maintain their focus and rationality.

Certain ways in which an ethical speaker can maintain their stance in this process includes taking time to educate themselves regarding the audience thay they would be dealing with, in addition to their education, inclination and level of comprehension. One must ensure that they are culturally sensitive, so as to appeal to their emotions. In addition to this, ensuring adequate interaction and body language is an effective way to showcase concern, interest and stabilize emotions.
