Question

How did Arab nations respond to the establishment of the nation of Israel?
How did Arab nations respond to the establishment of the nation of Israel?

Answers

With anger and hatred, The Arab nations refused to even acknowledge the establishment of the Nation of Israel.

Explanation:

When the Partition of the Protectorate of Palestine was declared by the United Nations, the Arab Nations declared war on the Jewish people living their. The leading religious leader of the Muslims in Jerusalem declared that the Muslims living in the part of Palestine given to the nation of Israel must leave or fight. He promised that when the Jewish people were destroyed that his followers would not only get their lands back but they would also acquire the Jewish lands, business and homes.

The nation of Jordan invaded the land of Palestine. The regular army troops engaged the Jewish fighters. When the battles were over, the Jordan Army was forced to retreat back to the part of Protectorate granted to the Muslim population. Jordan took over political control rather than allowing a Muslim nation in the part of Protectorate of Palestine, fearing that recognizing a Muslim nation of Palestine would also imply recognizing the right of the Jewish population to Israel.

In a similar manner Egypt invaded the land of Palestine to destroy the Jewish state. The Egyptian forces were defeated and forced to retreat. The Egyptians took over political control of Gaza part of the partition that was suppose to be part of a Muslim nation of Palestine.
A two nation solution to the Protectorate of Palestine was opposed by the Arab Nations because it might give legitimacy to the nation of Israel.

The existence of the state of Israel is still opposed by most Arab Nations.
