It is measured basically by means of measurement tape , by placing the measurement tape on the exact location on the pregnant client tummy it can be measured. Following are the brief steps that are followed while measuring these height.
- First have a good explanation about what your'e going to do with the client.
- Place the individual in the lying position in a comfortable manner.
- The one end of the tape should be placed over the symphysis pubis and extend the tape unto the top
portion of the fundal region.- Record the measured values in cm and observe the client fundas height with relationship to umblicus.
- Compare the measured values with the gestation weak that the client had undergone.
These are the some of the basics steps followed while doing these measurement.
