The market price of the common stock is $27.20 per share. For the common stock, determine (a) the earnings per share, (b) the price-earnings ratio, (c) the dividends per share, and (d) the dividend yield. a) Earning per share = (net income-Preferred dividend)/Share outstanding = (976000-240000)/230000 = 3.20 per share

b) Price earning ratio = MPS/EPS = 27.20/3.20 = 8.5 times

d) Dividend yield = DPS/EPS = 0.25/3.2 = 7.81%
