Look at recent national/state surveys of drug use and compare them from past years and identify the most significant changes.Do you think this survey provides good data for assessing the youth risks? (consider the size of the population surveyed and frequency) Based on reviewing the surveys, what are the current trends around the use of the 3 gateway drugs (alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana) What do the most recent statistics say? Have the numbers increased? Decreased? Or remained the same? The new trend of “Vaping/E-Cigarettes” (are they a safe alternative? what are the findings? does it contribute to other drug use?)

Answers

Answer: If we talk about the drug abuse or the drugs consumption among the youth, it has been statically increased. The most recent studies shows that there is abundant increase in the consumptions of tobacco as well as alcohol, specially in the young generation.

Those college going students are more indulge in the intake of the alcohol and tobacco. Even though they know all the side effects of these things still they become regular consumer of this. The vaping is not the safe alternative as many studies shows that it has direct affects on the lungs . It has become a trend to consume alcohol or smoke.
