Explain the difference between end point and equivalence point. Why is it important that both occur at approximately the same pH in a titration?

An equivalence point is different from an endpoint. An equivalence point is a theoretical point based upon the Stoke Yama tree of the reaction. It's essentially the point where, in a tie Trey Shin, we have added or mixed story key metric amounts based on this, like geometry of the reaction of the reactant. So neither reactant is left in excess there, bulls consumed equally. The end point is what we do in a laboratory in order to measure the equivalents point. It's where an indicators changes color, and we hope that the indicator changes color at the point where we have mixed still key metric amounts of the reactant.

This is chapter 18. Question 50. So we're looking for, um, the difference between the equipment's point and end point. So the equivalence point is when you have equal amounts of acid and base so your moles of acid are equal to your moles. A base. Your end point is, when the indicator that you add changes color, that's the only difference.

This question asked us to explain the difference any point and the equivalence point. So these still come up during analytical tied rations. And when we have a set up where the Anna light is in a flask and we're using a tight end and adding the tightened dropped price into the Anna light, I'm trying toe hydrate this. We have two different terms that we use. In this case, one is called the end point, and the other one is called an equivalence point. So the end find since then, uh, the indicator in the type in the Anna light will change color. So the Anna light, which is in the flask, usually includes a, um, indicator that's dissolved in it. And this indicator has two colors, usually, and it will, um, change color when, when there is the when there is more off one kind, it will change color to correspond toe indicate that there's more off this van kind either than a light or the title. So the point at which the indicator will change color is called the end point. But the equivalent spined is when there's exactly equivalent amount of tightened on an a light in the flask. So the at the tightened in a drop lies manner to the ana light are the flask containing the Anna light. But because the drops are bigger than they need to be, we never really see the equivalence point. The point at which there is exactly equivalent amounts off an allied and heightened. Instead, we see the point at which there's a little more after tightened. So the equivalent spined is when the Thai gin is chemical equivalent to the Ana light. I'm saying, e que during two shot in the farm equivalent. That's my main difference. And the any find always comes after the equivalence point. So okay, and this comes the equivalence fine becomes before the end point. So what comes first? Distant equivalence point. Then we get the endpoint. These other main differences between the end point and the equivalence point in a tight tradition set up okay,

On the in point off a Christian is the point at which the indicator changes color in an acid mist attrition. That miss end point is the point at which the indicator changes color, and the equivalence point is the point at which strike geometrically equivalent amount off acid and base. React said they could win this point. The number off mall's off message is equal to the number off small self bass and with the correct indicator. So if we have the correct indicator in that case, the end point of the Thai tradition will be observed on our car had they given spined. So if we have the correct indicator than the equivalence, point will be called to the point.
