Hello there students today. They want us to describe the difference between non renewable and renewable resources. Enlist one example of each of the following. So um for non renewable resources yes yeah how renewable resources um they exist and a fixed amount. An example of non renewable um resources that exists in a exist amount would be um fossil fuels because fossil fuels basically exists from the remains of prehistoric um prehistoric plants and animals that died off many years ago. And they and that fuel only exists because you know if we just keep drinking it up at some point um it will dry out because you know there's only a fixed amount of prehistoric animals. There's only like a certain amount of prehistoric animals that died off. Which yes it would seem like it's a lot but it only exists um based officer amount of animals that died off. So any who um enough of that let's go into renewable energy. I mean resources. So renewable resources. Uh huh. That's supposed to be a C. I don't get why it looks like E. But anyways uh we know about resource resources can be replaced yeah. Right. Mhm. By natural. Mhm. Mhm. Yeah processes. Yes as quickly. Okay as humans use them another example you can pick any example but an example that I would pick with the biomass biomass energy and with biomass energy an example I think about is the peak pete that you get a um that you can get from the wetlands which is like just um yeah which is just um it's like plant based feel. So basically all the leaf litter and all that um is compacted to make a source type of energy that people use. That type of peat as a weight. Um to heat up you know as a way to like have fuels like you can add to like add heat um And I mean by heat that you could just set up, you know grab that heat and you can't because there are other countries that use that as a way to provide um that they can heat up certain things when it comes down to their own food, foods or heat up their houses or stuff like that. And there are some people that use Pete um as a way to help with their plants and all that naturally and yeah that's why I pick the biomass energy if you there are other processes. But Pete is the only thing that comes to my, to my mind. Um You can bring up other things like with solar energy um Of course because you know because you with the rays like it always comes by naturally from the sun. And you know with water it can be easy like people drinking water from like pumping water from the aquifers, it can be replenished as quickly as people use it. It's just if the humans don't drink it all up at a large amount that photographers used to having it, then, you know, there will still be more water. But yeah, I provide a more list for renewable than we really need. But um I just provide that if the biomass energy, y'all were still lost or confused on that. But anyhoo, yep, that's it. All right, This is a good energy question for, um, for class. Right? So you have the option to use a desert to construct either effusion, power plant efficient power plant or a solar farm. Um, so why would you want, um, to do any of this? Right? So desserts air pretty much on underutilized space for, um, for energy. Right. So deserts have a lot of sunlight. Um, desserts are also isolated, so you may want to consider a some kind of establishment, some kind of reactor, for example. That's away from people, just in case there's some kind of an accident. Like like Chernobyl as the extreme example in Ukraine. Right. So, um, looking up some of the pros and cons of each of these, I came to some conclusions. So nuclear fusion, Um, first of all, according to your textbook, is easily one of one of the most efficient in terms of how much energy is after generated. However, it requires temperatures. Um, much much. Um well, much larger than anything that we could reasonably do on this planet. So remember that when nuclear fusion was discussed in these temperature in this chapter, it was talking about the son being added some 1.1 point five times 10 to the seventh, Seventh degree Celsius. Right. So those temperatures air really unsustainable for the earth? Um, t consistently held over time, right? So that's that's probably out. Um, vision is more feasible. So there are nuclear power plants. Um, that you do nuclear fission on earth. That's actually how trainable happened. So having it in the desert away from people is better in the event of some kind of a massive accident, you know, you're not killing wildlife except the wildlife that's in the desert, for example. Um, excuse me. The only issue I see with vision is that, um, fission generates a ton of energy eso vision as a result of nuclear fission. Your your equipment is being insanely warmed up. From what I could research from what I gathered from research. Right. So the way that people cool down fission power plants is with water, so they have water is used as a coolant. So I concluded that vision is probably not likely to be possible to set up the power plants where water isn't readily accessible, like a desert to be able to cool all of the all the heat that's generated from the energy efficient. So fishing's out. Um, so I'll say need needs. Um, h 20 access Which desserts do not provide solar Seems like the reasonable option here. Just because if you'll get a map of the world, you'll see that, um, desserts receive so much more sunlight per year, um, than the rest of the world because they're located on the equator for the most part, right? So having a solar field is good because you want to maximize how much energy you could actually collect from the sun by putting those solar panels at in parts of the world where there is the long whether is the most amount of sunlight. Right? So during the equated on the equator, um, you're essentially, uh, taking up all of the sunlight. Um, that is possible. You're taking up the most amount of sunlight, That is, that is, I think, possible or achievable on the planet by placing solar panels on the equator in a desert, whether they're really not going to bother anybody, and they could collect a serious amount of energy. Um, so I'm going to say that solar I shouldn't have the Met in red. Um, it deserves a better color. I don't say so. Where A solar farm in the desert is the way to go here.

In consideration of land and the environment and resources, especially when looking at it. In terms of economics perspective, it's important to understand the differences between renewable and non renewable resources. So the main differences here are that renewable resources are simply renewable as it says, which means that they are more readily available and they can be replenished in a relatively short period of time. Now, looking at not renewable resources, these are ones that are available only in limited quantities or otherwise we have limited supply of them. And in other terms, these are also the ones that cannot be replenished or at least they cannot be replenished very easily. It takes much longer in order for that to happen. So some examples of these would be when it comes to renewable resources. There are several major ones that we look at. These include things like solar, wind, water, biomass and geothermal. So these are the five major renewable resources that we tend to look at. Um I think the first three solar wind and water tend to be the three that were oftentimes most familiar with. And if you look at non renewable resources, we have things like coal and oil and natural gas being three major ones that we're familiar with.
