And now we just need to add these two numbers. Well, five plus zero is five. Three plus six is nine. One plus one is two and nothing plus two is two. So what we have found is that 27 times 85 is equal to 2295.

And this problem, we're being asked to multiply 53 times 98. Well, to do this, I'm going to set my problem up vertically. So I'm gonna have 53 in the top times 98 in the bottom. So first we need to multiply eight times 53. So to do that, we need to multiply eight times three, which is 24. So I bring down the four and carry the two. Next we multiply eight times five, which is 40 plus two, which is 42. And now I'm gonna cross off that too, on top because we've used it. I'm also going to put zero in my next row in the ones place as a placeholder because now we're multiplying by the digit in the tens place. And then we just do our regular multiplication. Well, nine times three is 27. So we bring down the seven and carry the two. Next we multiply nine times five, which is 45 plus two, which is 47. And now we just need to add these to value. Oh, while four plus zero is for Jew plus seven is nine four plus seven. It's 11 So I bring down the one and carry the one. And then we have one plus four, which is four. Sorry, which one? Plus four, which is five. So what we have found is 53 times 98 is equal to 5194.
